Market Program Director in Higher Education – Medical Administrative Assistant - Direct Hire – Cleveland, Ohio Job #1492

Our client is a stable, well established school that is seeking a Program Director to oversee the Medical Administrative Assistant program being delivered at multiple locations.

The Program Director will support the College mission and vision by overseeing the day to day management of their program areas. The successful candidate will provide both administrative and instructional duties in the Medical Administrative Assistant program. You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring instructors as related to classroom methodology and delivery as well as teaching classes each semester. Accurate and timely reporting and record keeping is essential.
You will have the opportunity to monitor and develop curriculum and organize program specific initiatives and activities. The Program Director will manage the internship program, provide classroom observations, and participate in the hiring, development, evaluation, and termination of instructors and support staff.

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in a health related field such as Public Health, Health Administration, Healthcare Informatics, and a CMA or RMA certification.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in a related health field, Masters preferred CMA or RMA certification
3+ years of healthcare exp, including 40+ hours in an ambulatory setting
performing or observing clinical procedures Teaching experience in a higher education setting

Medical Assistant/CMAs or RMAs

American Nursing Care is looking for medical assistants experienced in phlebotomy.  The work is optional (you pick when you want to work) and can be contracted up to 3-4 months at a time.  The location is the East Side off 1-71 in a research facility.  Shifts can be day, evenings, or nights any day of the week.  Starting pay is $13.00 per hour.

Medical Receptionist

There will be an opening at Smith Clinic / Delaware for a medical receptionist for Dr. Haney. They would be handling all his incoming calls to leave messages or to schedule appointments. Whatever else they are asked to do as well. 

Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. ( lunch from 12:30 -1:30)
 *The clinic does offer  evening hours on Mon/Tues/Wed & Sat mornings for acute care issues; the doctors take turns staffing these hours. The              person maybe asked to cover one of these at somepoint due to vacations or illnesses. And they can say no to this.
 Base pay about $9/hour.

Job Summary--Medical Insurance/Billing/Coding Instructor Needed

Bryant and Stratton college is seeking a qualified billing/coding instructor to teach in the Medical Assisting and Medical Administrative Assisting programs. Bryant & Stratton instructors will support the college mission by facilitating an active learning classroom through alternative delivery methodologies. Instructors will maintain contemporary knowledge and skills in their discipline to support their expected classroom responsibilities. Instructors will participate in departmental and campus-wide activities to support the needs of the student population and campus team.

Job Knowledge/Systems

  • Provide instruction between 15 and 21 contact hours per week.
  • Participate in campus-wide initiatives in support of recruitment, retention, and graduation goals.
  • Maintain one Skills Assistance contact hour per week for every five instructional hours assigned.
  • Maintain one Administrative contact hour per week for every five instructional contact hours assigned.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of teaching discipline/field of study.
  • Participate in curriculum monitoring and development process.
  • Attend required college functions including staff meetings, in-service training, graduation, and special activities.
  • Utilize active learning (facilitation), authentic assessment, and portfolio assignments to support the teaching and learning outcomes of the college.
  • Adhere to and uphold all established operational policies and procedures as described in operating documentation (official catalog, Faculty Guide).

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience

A minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in a medical office required. Ideal candidate must possess a Master's degree in an allied health related field or business (ex. MBA/HCM, MBA, HIM, MSN, MHA, etc) and have a current nationally recognized billing/coding certification.

Brown Mackie College North Canton is seeking instructors to teach in the Medical Assisting program. 

Key job responsibilities include instructing & facilitating learning course competencies as well as proactively support students in the learning process and providing career education.

These positions require an Associate degree in Medical Asssiting plus certification (RMA or CMA) & related work experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in examination and treatment of patients under a Provider’s direction.

Patient Care

  • Assists patients by answering routine questions, resolving minor difficulties and giving directions to patients as authorized by the Provider. Documents all phone conversations in patient charts to include any Provider directed instructions.
  • Supports the patient through the education and assistance of various drug programs.
  • Provides education and support to patients and families as directed by the Provider.
  • Makes appointments as needed and directed by the Provider.

Clinical

  • As directed by the Provider, assists with routine office examinations and procedures that may include administering injections, medications, vaccinations and blood draws. Documents all procedures in the patient’s chart.
  • Documents all patient interaction, tracks and attaches laboratory and diagnostic test results to patient charts; communicates results and orders to patients as directed by the Provider.
  • Contacts pharmacy to order new and refill prescriptions and follows up with patients as needed.

Education and/or Experience:     High School diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants. MA Registration or Certification preferred.  Two years experience working in primary health care with indigent populations and community based programs preferred.
                       
Language Skills:    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.  Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Computer Skills:    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:   CPR certification required. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred.

Other Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:  Ability to speak Spanish desirable. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.  Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.  Skill in taking vital signs.  Skill in maintaining records and recording test results. Skill with geriatric patients and patients in lower socio-economic sectors of the community.

Remington College-Cleveland Campus is seeking qualified individuals (both f/t and p/t) to teach

in the Medical Assisting and Medical Assisting w/x-ray diploma programs. 

Qualified applicants must possess a medical assisting/healthcare credential (degree/diploma) and/or certification in Medical Assisting and 3+ years of related practical work experience.  Candidates will have professional knowledge of venipuncture, phlebotomy, EKG’s, and a firm grasp of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, and keyboarding.  X-RAY experience a plus, especially those licensed as a General X-ray operator with the state of Ohio.  Prior teaching/training experience beneficial but not necessary.
